Basic Environmental Philosophy

We, Melco Mobility Solutions, regard our environmental conservation initiatives as one of our most important management issues. We will aim to “create a sustainable society” through our entire business operations and employee actions.

Basic Environmental Policy

We, Melco Mobility Solutions, will operate businesses regarding sales of environmentally friendly products, as well as the proposal of such services, in accordance with the Mitsubishi Electric Group’s environmental policy.
We will also strive to reduce impacts on the global environment as much as possible, give consideration to biodiversity, and contribute to achieving “decarbonization” and creating a “recycling-based society.”

  1. We will comply with environmental laws and regulations, as well as all social rules, and always bear in mind environmental considerations in our business operations.
  2. We will build an environmental management system upon the understanding of the environmental aspects of our business operations. Through continuous efforts for improvement, we will strive to conserve the environment and respect biodiversity.
  3. With consideration given to the environmental impacts of our business operations, products, and services, we will promote environmental conservation activities focusing on the following four items:

    (1) Conservation of resources and energy in our business operations.
    (2) Sales and the proposal of services for smaller, lighter, and high-efficiency products.
    (3) Use of environmentally friendly products for office supplies, etc.
    (4) Reduction of waste.

We will comply with environmental laws and regulations, as well as other requirements that we have accepted.
While maintaining communications with public offices, municipal governments, and the Mitsubishi Electric Group, we will work together with local communities with the aim of contributing to environmental conservation efforts.

Additionally, we will work together with the supply chain for improvement in quality in our operations and distribution with the aim of improving customer satisfaction.

For office building equipment, we are promoting switches to LED/automatically dimmable lighting and high thermal efficiency air conditioners. Our ongoing initiatives also include reductions in paper documents and the purchases of ECO-certified goods wherever possible.

Appropriate pricing

We promote cooperation, co-existence and co-prosperity with our suppliers and business operators who strive to create value. In order to build new partnerships, we will adhere to desirable trade practices (“promotion standards” based on the Act on Securing Business Opportunities for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) between business partners. Additionally, we will conduct appropriate price negotiation and passing on of a cost burden, in accordance with various guidelines published by regulatory authorities*1.
